Students tour reactor and explore nuclear science as part of MePLUS program
Nuclear Operations & Facilities welcomed twelve high school students to the McMaster Nuclear Reactor in February for a series of nuclear science-filled workshops, as part of the Faculty of Science’s MePLUS program.
Students got to tour the reactor, learn about medical isotopes, radiation science and safety, and even practice their lab skills at one of McMaster’s hot cells – where they used mechanical arms to sketch their names on paper.
Thanks to the MePLUS program and our student visitors for joining us!
