Fluorine Analysis

Fluorine analysis is a service that is offered by Centre for Neutron Activation Analysis (CNAA) and allows for the short-lived F-20 to be analyzed.

The short half-life of 20F (11 s) makes for problematic analysis using traditional techniques. By using the rabbit pneumatic system, a short activation and decay time is used in order to analyze short-lived isotopes without interference.  Fluorine analysis is often used to determine the fluorine content in polymers and other materials.
