Experiential learning programs
CNL Undergraduate Summer Research Experience
The Canadian Nuclear Laboratories USRE program provides students in the Faculties of Science and Engineering with hands-on nuclear research experience at CNL and McMaster's world-class facilities.
Fusion Pharmaceuticals Training Program
Hosted by the Faculty of Science, this program enables graduate students to train in the development, testing and use of radiopharmaceuticals to identify and treat cancers, using the expertise, specialty labs and instrumentation available at McMaster and Fusion.
Next Generation in Nuclear Medicine Workshop
Hosted in collaboration with King's College London and open to senior graduate students and early-career professionals, this workshop helps learners gain a fulsome core-to-clinic understanding of nuclear medicine.
Nuclear Education, Skills and Technology (NEST) SMR Project
McMaster is the lead organization of the NEST SMR project, which aims to advance understanding on the technology, regulatory framework, societal issues, spent fuel management, and economics associated with the deployment of SMRs.
Small Modular Advanced Reactor Training (SMART) Program
The SMART program is designed to provide a stream of HQPs with advanced skills and technical knowledge of SMRs, making graduates well-positioned for leadership roles in the evolving SMR industry.
