Canadian Nuclear Training Academy

At McMaster, we believe nuclear is for everyone. The Canadian Nuclear Training Academy (CNTA) brings this to life.

Our goal is to bring nuclear science and technology to learners of all ages, growing engagement, increasing awareness, and reducing fear through engaging in hands-on learning in world-class nuclear facilities — all while fostering an inclusive and accessible experience.

From middle- and high-school, to undergraduate and graduate students, to industry professionals professionals, our diverse suite of programming includes something for everyone!

World-Class Nuclear Facilities Learn more

McMaster’s suite of nuclear facilities is located in the heart of campus in Hamilton, Ontario. Anchored by the McMaster Nuclear Reactor – the only research reactor on a university campus in Canada – additional facilities include the McMaster University Cyclotron Facility, the Centre for Advanced Nuclear Systems, and the High Level Laboratory Facility. McMaster University’s nuclear research facilities enable discoveries in medicine, clean energy, nuclear safety, materials and environmental science, all while opening doors to learners of all ages.
